Professor Elemental has a tale to tell. And it’s not very nice at all. Creeping out of the depths of the attic, our Steampunk Professor invites you to a night of songs, stand up, storytelling and surprises. Join the Prof as he pens a blood-stained love letter to the worlds of Horror, Comedy and Hip Hop — while unleashing some of his weirdest tales, peculiar poems and surprising stories from a most unusual life.‘

‘Chap hop’s leading exponent’ (The Wall Street journal) Professor Elemental is an award winning hip hop artist who first got noticed with  ‘Cup Of Brown Joy’ which notched up over two million views and headlines in the national press. He has been praised for his  ‘Breathtaking freestyle rap’ (The Guardian) and described as ‘Genius’ by and ‘Fast and fluid…loveably bonkers’ by Londonist.
The Prof . . . pokes gentle fun at Britishness and ‘traditional’ British values (because we love to send ourselves up), and cheers on the making of art and the finding of happiness.’ Wendy Attwell, Set the Tape

Jonny Fluffy Punk (‘A comedy colossus’ — The Source) – began his career as a snarling punk poet and now fuses bittersweet autobiography, political disillusionment and surreal whimsy. Equally at home on cabaret, poetry and alternative comedy stages, Jonny is stridently anti-competition in both the Arts and life in general. To his own disgust, though, he has won countless poetry slams and was second three times in UK National All-Stars slam. He has two volumes of poetry, prose and threadbare philosophy- ‘The Sustainable Nihilists’ Handbook’ and ‘Poundland Rimbaud’- (Burning Eye imprint)

This prestigious event is being hosted in Francis Close Chapel of Festival Sponsor the University of Gloucestershire.
