Enjoy a cracker of a night at the Festive Slam Qualifier. Come and ho ho ho as our bards battle for places in next year’s prestigious Cheltenham Poetry Festival slam – one of the biggest, most exciting spoken word stand-offs in the UK.

This exciting and entertaining event is hosted by slam champ CHLOE JACQUET! Chloë is a multi-slam winning, multicultural, multifaceted spoken-word artist based in Gloucestershire.

A poet’s dozen — 14 bards — will unwrap their writing gifts and present their comedy, tragedy, thought-provoking, or confessional party pieces. They are: Addae Gaskin; Camille McCawley; Christopher Beauman, Jr; Daron Carey; Dom Gittins; Howard Timms; Jonathan Muirhead; Josephine Lay; Kat Lyons; Lexia Tomlinson; Luke Further; Sarah Snell Pym; Simon Finn; and Ste Wright.

The six highest-scoring poets will go to the top of the (Christmas) tree and each will win a place at Slam to The Slaughter – the 10th Cheltenham Poetry Festival Slam on 24 April 2020.

Treat yourself to an Early Bard ticket (£2 less if booked before 15 November) and make sure you don’t miss out on the festival fun and frolics.
